Director of Community Outreach & Training
Upon returning to her hometown of Sarasota after college, Mandy began her professional career in the nonprofit sector where she has strived for over 20 years to make a positive difference for others. Whether working in child abuse prevention, intervention, and treatment, supporting educational aspirations and access for at-risk students, providing parenting education and professional training, or developing new community programs, making the world a bit better has been the guiding force of her life’s work.
Training provision to local, state, and national audiences has been a central theme to her professional experience. As the Director of Community Outreach and Training, Mandy is thrilled to combine these experiences with the mission of Resilient Retreat which resonates so loudly for her both personally and professionally. She and her husband, Shawn, lovingly revolve their world around their two beloved boys, Jack and Liam. Volunteering, reading, baking and watching sports (especially those where her sons are playing) are her most fulfilling hobbies. Sharing the company of her family, friends, and menagerie of rescue pets is her favorite way to spend time.
