Using a variety of modern poetry forms and styles as examples we will create our own poems. We will use life experiences to create poems that transcended individual experience and blossom into nuggets of universal knowledge. Writing poetry about painful experiences can release stress. Transforming your personal experience into universally understood poems can change hurt to healing.
