SUMMARY:Zen Tangle (Online)
DESCRIPTION:Zen tangle is an easy-to-learn\, relaxing\, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. We call these patterns tangles. You create tangles with combinations of dots\, lines\, simple curves\, S-curves and orbs. These patterns are drawn on small pieces of paper called “tiles\,” which can be assembled into mosaics. Zen tangle art is unplanned and more about the journey than the end result.

SUMMARY:Trauma-Informed Chair Yoga (Online)
DESCRIPTION:Why practice chair yoga? \n\n\n\nWe practice chair yoga because we want to reap the many benefits of a yoga practice but getting on the floor is either inconvenient or not possible. We want to relieve our stress\, learn to breathe effectively\, improve our circulation\, increase our mobility and flexibility\, strengthen our bodies\, and seek an overall sense of calm. \nThe only thing needed is a chair without wheels\, comfortable nonrestrictive clothing and an open mind to try something new. \nWe begin each practice focusing on our breath with clues to deepen our breath to get the most out of this life-giving force. \nThis is followed by a brief meditation where we simply focus on our breathing. \nWe then move into series of poses that activate our feet\, legs\, arms and hands\, torso\, back neck region and eyes. We learn to coordinate each pose with our breath. Some of the poses are done while seated and some poses will be done standing while using your chair for added stability. \nWe end each class with a brief meditation. \nYoga is noncompetitive. Not even with yourself. Some weeks you may move into the different poses easily and some weeks not so easily. That is fine. We learn to listen to our bodies and if we need to back off\, we do so. \nWhen we focus on our breath with each movement\, it leaves no room for our minds to wonder into past situations nor projecting our minds into the future. \nWe stay present and a wonderful sense of calm\, inner strength and courage take over our whole being both during and after class.

SUMMARY:Breaking Patterns (Online)
DESCRIPTION:How do we identify the patterns we need to break and create new ones? This workshop consists of creating a pattern\, be it with actual items like small stones or with line drawings\, or drawn shapes and colors\, etc. After some discussion\, we then explore creating new patterns out of the old\, using all of what is already there and creating something totally different.

SUMMARY:Book Group (Online\, Part 2 of 2)
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a two-part virtual Book Group for Brene Brown’s Daring Greatly. We ask you only sign up if you can make a commitment to attend both sessions. A limited number of books are available on a first come first serve basis for pick-up at our office (1207 Sarasota Center Blvd\, Sarasota\, FL 34240). We look forward to discussing this book about vulnerability and courage with you! \n”One of the tragic ironies of modern life is that so many people feel isolated from each other by the very feelings they have in common: including a fear of failure and a sense of not being enough. Brene Brown shines a bright light into these dark recesses of human emotion and reveals how these feelings can gnaw at fulfillment in education\, at work\, and in the home. She shows too how they can be transformed to help us live more wholehearted lives of courage\, engagement\, and purpose. Brene Brown writes as she speaks\, with wisdom\, wit\, candor\, and a deep sense of humanity. If you’re a student\, teacher\, parent\, employer\, employee\, or just alive and wanting to live more fully\, you should read this book. I double dare you.’‘ –Sir Ken Robinson\, New York Times bestselling author
